The Original Experts in UHP Water Jetting
For over 35 years Hitech Industrial Services has been at the forefront of Australia’s high‑pressure (HP) and ultra‑high‑pressure (UHP) water‑jetting industry. From hydro demolition and concrete deterioration works to precision surface preparation, cold (steel) cutting, vacuum loading, excavation, and large‑scale industrial cleaning, we’ve built a reputation for delivering smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions.
More than three decades on, our passion for excellence remains as strong as ever. At Hitech, we don’t just meet industry standards—we set them.

Our History
Hitech Industrial Services is, at its core, a reflection of the passion, ingenuity, and determination of its founder, Mark Turner. A lifelong problem‑solver, Mark began his career in the UK in the late 1970’s with Harben Pumps, where he first worked with the radial piston diaphragm pump that would ignite his enduring interest in engineering innovation. He later joined Sykes Pumps, refining pump design to improve efficiency, reduce noise, and—well ahead of industry trends—enhance environmental performance.
After relocating to Australia, Mark expanded his expertise at Gardner Perrot (later Brambles), focusing on pump repair and reliability. In 1989, following a redundancy, Mark saw opportunity where others might have seen setback. He established his own business dedicated to repairing and designing pumps, and even ventured briefly into the food industry servicing Cryovac machines. Though successful, it wasn’t where his true passion lay.
Recognising a gap in the Australian market for ultra‑high‑pressure water jetting—and leveraging his deep knowledge of pump design—Mark acquired a second‑hand pump and set out to build something new. He secured his first clients, trained his first team, and personally took on hand‑lancing work as he laid the foundations of what would become a transformational business.
In 1991, Hitech Industrial Services was officially born. Early industrial clients—some of whom remain with us today—soon paved the way for major infrastructure projects, beginning with Sydney Harbour Tunnel in 1992. From that single pump, Hitech has expanded to a fleet of 65 specialised assets, delivering critical services across Australia and abroad.
Over the decades, Hitech has contributed to many of Australia’s most significant infrastructure achievements, including the Eastern Distributor, Cross City Tunnel, Tugun Bypass , Clem 7, Lane Cove Tunnel, NorthConnex,WestConnex, Rozelle Interchange, Sydney Gateway and many others.
From the early days of manual hand lancing to today’s advanced robotics and international consultancy work, Mark’s commitment to innovation, safety, and training has remained unwavering. He has personally trained hundreds of water‑blasting professionals and continues to drive the industry forward with the same passion he had in the 1970s.
Hitech Industrial Services stands today as a testament to Mark’s vision: a company built on expertise, integrity, and a relentless drive to deliver smarter, safer, and more effective industrial solutions.
